University of San Diego Grounds Maintenance staff meticulously trim the maze of acacia shrubs on the hillside along Torero Way during a beautiful spring morning on April 8, 2025. The university’s gardeners — who exemplify the phrase “leading with love” — maintain 155 acres of campus landscaping. They are integral to USD’s impressive reputation as one of the most beautiful campuses in the nation.
