Spain, where she holds the position of predoctoral researcher in climate and health at ISGlobal, while also pursuing her doctorate in biomedicine at Universitat Pompeu Fabra. 2020s Zach Denison ’21 (MBA) began a new role as chief of staff at Excellence in Giving. This Colorado Springs-based philanthropy advisory firm has facilitated more than $850 million in charitable giving since 2001, and Zach’s role involves strategic planning, operational management, marketing strategy and team development. As a former IT business relationship manager and a U.S. Navy veteran, Zach brings a wealth of experience to this position. Stephen Dolar ’21 (JD) became an associate at the San Diego office of Ogletree Deakins. Focusing on employment law, Stephen brings valuable experience in handling civil court and arbitration cases involving discrimination, retaliation, harassment and wrongful discharge under California law. With a strong academic background, including a JD from the University of San Diego School of Law and a BS, summa cum laude, from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, Stephen is sure to be an asset to the team at Ogletree Deakins.

William Wallace MacKenzie Jr. ‘73 (JD) passed away peacefully on February 10, 2025. He was 93 years old. A naval officer, merchant marine and later a lawyer, Bill traveled the world yet treasured his family most. Survived by three children, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, his love and wisdom will be deeply missed but never forgotten. As Bill would say: “Keep dancing.”

Jonathan Dean Huppert ’12 (BA) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jonathan Dean Huppert, a beloved son, brother, cousin, nephew and friend.
