4. Project Plan and Timeline The project plan outlines the stages of developing the Smart Inventory Management System for the healthcare industry. Key milestones, deliverables, and assigned responsibilities are detailed below, along with a suggested timeline to ensure the project is completed efficiently. The first phase of the project is Project Initiation , which will take place over the first two weeks. During this phase, the project charter will be created, and stakeholders will be identified. The Project Manager (PM) will lead this phase, while the team will provide input for stakeholder analysis. Following this, the Needs Assessment phase will occur over weeks three and four. This phase will involve conducting a requirements analysis and gathering user feedback through interviews and surveys. The Business Analyst will be responsible for this assessment, with end users participating in the interviews and surveys. Next, the project will move into the System Design phase, which will span weeks five to eight. During this time, the system architecture diagram and database design document will be developed. The Systems Architect will design the system architecture, while the Database Administrator will create the database model. The Development Phase will follow, lasting from weeks nine to sixteen. In this phase, a functional prototype will be built, and source code documentation will be created. Software Developers will be responsible for building the system according to specifications, while the Quality Assurance (QA) team will prepare for the testing phase. The Testing and Quality Assurance phase will take place over weeks seventeen to twenty. During this time, a test plan will be developed, and test cases and results will be documented.
