Mentor Link Solutions: A Hybrid Mentorship and Knowledge Retention Model

• Mentorship Feedback Scores : Ratings collected via post-session surveys assessing usefulness,

clarity, and relevance of mentoring.

• Documentation Usage : Frequency of access and contributions to the knowledge repository,

including login counts and content submissions.

• Retention Rates : Turnover percentages within mentored vs. non-mentored teams over 12

months.

Preliminary Results

Although this capstone project did not include live deployment, the planning and simulation

activities combined with industry data provided a strong likelihood that this program can be successfully

implemented and have a positive impact, financial or otherwise, on an engineering organization. The

data suggests that this hybrid model would have a near-immediate impact on reducing onboarding time,

improving employee retention, and improving productivity. Our first real-world implementation of a

pilot program with another organization would generate actionable user data, enabling us to enhance

the program and process while simultaneously helping the partner organization refine its

implementation. The expectation is that this hybrid solution will address the issues of critical knowledge

loss and inadequate employee training.

Lessons Learned

Throughout our research and project development, we identified several lessons learned that

are important to consider when deploying our hybrid program and should be expanded upon in future

iterations and implementation cycles:
