Mentor Link Solutions: A Hybrid Mentorship and Knowledge Retention Model

Six-Month Mentor Link Implementation Timeline

The hybrid model has a staggered, but parallel rollout of mentorship and knowledge retention

activities. Knowledge retention activities such as buildout of a digital repository are embedded

throughout each deployment phase, but becomes more prominent during the monitoring and

sustainment phase due to the time required to build a repository.

Success Metrics

The key to successful implementation and continued sustainability of this program will be

adherence to pre-determined KPIs and user-driven iteration through user feedback (Intrafocus, 2023).

The following KPIs that were selected based on industry data should be tracked to guide program

implementation and continue during the sustainment phase to allow for iterative improvements:

• Mentorship Participation Rate : Percentage of eligible employees who are matched with

mentors.

• Onboarding Time : Average duration (in weeks) for new hires to reach independent productivity,

benchmarked before and after implementation.
