No stranger to the USD Athletic Department, prior to her appoint– ment as softball coach she was As– sistant Sports Information Director for a year-and-a-half. A native San Diegan, McElvain attended nearby Patrick Henry HS. Melissa, her hus– band Ryan and their two year old daughter Mia and newborn daugh– ter Kamryn reside in San Carlos.
