A NATURAL HIGH Men's Basketball

USD men's basketball concluded the regular season with a record of 16-10 overall and third in the competitive WCC. The Toreros posted impressive victories over Pacific, Richmond, and Manhattan out of conference, including wins over several other teams. Seniors Temple, Barnhard, Meyer, and Grant paved the way for theToreros most successful season in the past three years. Barnhard was named First All WCC, and posted career bests in scoring, rebounding, and blocked shots. He was also Top Ten in the nation in 3 pt field goal percentage. Temple and Harris were named HonorableMention all-conference. DougHarris led in scoring and assists.Christopher Grant gave the Toreros the toughness and tenacity necessary to compete for the WC title, while Neal Meyer gave them instant offense off the bench as evidenced by his season high-17pts in 21 minutes. The losses of Grant, Meyer, Barnhard and Temple will be greatly missed. However, sophomores Fizdale and Flannery, with freshman Bruso, will be depended on to provide the necessary leadership.
