PSYCHOLOGY CLUB The Psychology Club and the Psi Chi National Honor Society function together representing students' interests in psychol– ogy. Club goals are to stimulate, encourage, andmaintain the academic and professional growth ofmembers and to advance the field of psychology as a science and as a means of promoting human welfare. Each semes– ter the Psychology Club, with the assisstance of the faculty, puts together a newsletter to keep students informed about upcoming events . In the past members have organized field trips to a mental hospital, the Julian Wolf Reserve, and Sea World. They have also invited guest speakers to come and discuss career op– portunities and graduate school. The Psychology Club also participates in com– munity service and various social activi– ties . The club is open to all who share a fascination for psychology, although most of the members are psychology majors.
COMMUNICATION STUDIES SOCIETY The Communication Studies Society pro– vides Communications Studies majors an opportunity to unite for professional develop– ment and social activities .
