Alcala Yearbook 1993-1994

VISTA University of San Diego students eagerly await the arrival ofThursdays for the hot of the presses VISTA . What most students do not see is the chaos that occurs at deadline--Tuesday night layout. Creativity seems to flow at midnight when editors are being kicked out of the University Centre and there is not enough text. White areas become works of art, otherwise known as space fillers. With the graduation ofabout 15 staff members, the VISTA had an almost completely brand new staff. VISTA autonomized itself from the Associated Students in the fall of 1992, so that funding came strictly from ad– vertisementrevenue and subscriptions. VISTA continues to evolve and change to fully utilize the talents of each staff member.
