maintaining clear communication during change processes, the project can navigate the complexities associated with healthcare technology implementations. 8. Implementation and Results The implementation of the Smart Inventory Management System (SIMS) for the healthcare industry followed a structured and phased approach, ensuring that all components were integrated effectively while minimizing disruptions to hospital operations. The implementation process consisted of several key phases, beginning with project planning and the kick-off . During this initial phase, the project team was assembled, comprising stakeholders from various departments, including IT, inventory management, and clinical operations. A kick-off meeting was held to align expectations and establish communication channels (Sittig et al., 2020). Following the planning phase, the next step involved designing and customizing the system . Based on the requirements gathered, the project team developed the SIMS framework, which involved customizing off-the-shelf software to meet specific healthcare needs, including compliance with regulations and integration with electronic health records (EHRs). Wireframes and prototypes were created to visualize system functionality, allowing for early stakeholder feedback (Homauni et al., 2022). The subsequent phase, data migration , was crucial as it involved transferring existing inventory data into the new system. This step involved data cleansing and validation processes to ensure the accuracy and relevance of the data. Historical data were transferred systematically to prevent data loss or corruption (Yeole & Kalbande, 2018). The implementation process also required integration with existing systems . SIMS was integrated with other hospital systems, such as EHRs and supply chain management software, to facilitate seamless information flow. Technical teams conducted integration testing to confirm
