• The Lesley L. McAllister Symposium on Climate & Energy Law, the USD Cyber Law & Risk Symposium, the Hugh & Hazel Darling Foundation Originalism Works-in Progress Conference, and the Patent Law Conference (PatCon) are significant annual events gathering professionals and scholars in their respective specialties from across the country. • The USD School of Law-Chamberlain International Tax Institute, held in Mérida, México, brings together top tax scholars from around the U.S. and Mexico to discuss tax topics of international importance and increase access to international tax knowledge and promote cross-border education and cooperation between tax attorneys, accountants, and financial experts. • The USD School of Law-RJS LAW Tax Institute is the premier tax event in San Diego. The region’s top tax attorneys, CPAs, and law/ business school professors discuss topics including government loan relief and abuses, challenges in cross-border transactions, and practical and realistic solutions in trust, estate planning, and tax matters. • The USD School of Law’s annual Class Action Law Forum (CALF) is held in collaboration with Western Alliance Bank and directly benefits USD law students in financial need.
