Donor Impact Report 2024-2025
The Maudsley Fellows Society was established in 1992, in honor of esteemed Professor Ronald H. Maudsley (1918-1981), to recognize a distinguished circle of benefactors whose leadership and committed to excellence are demonstrated through annual donations of $1,500 or more to USD School of Law. The resounding impact of Maudsley Fellows is being felt across campus and throughout the San Diego community. Maudsley donors play a critical role by providing financial support for aspiring student scholars, contributing the resources necessary to attract and retain world-class legal educators who are leaders in their respective fields, and helping to sustain essential programs, including USD’s Legal Clinics which contributes over $3.5M in pro bono legal services every year while also giving critical hands-on training for our students. Most recently, Fellows have begun funding capital projects to improve law school facilities. It will take gifts of all shapes and sizes to make this project a reality to provide students with facilities that combine the latest technology, with student-centric spaces to inspire innovation, elevate academic discussion, and build long-lasting sense of community. In recognition of their generosity, Maudsley donors are prominently listed as individuals on the pages of the Donor Impact Report, donor recognition page on the law school’s website, and inscribed on the Honor Roll display for all to see as they enter the law school. This listing serves as a leadership example for alumni and demonstrates to students the impact of alumni support.
