Dalton notes, “You can choose where you want it to go which makes payroll deduction easy or you can make a special request. Legal clinics, where my heart is, does amazing things for the community and students.” The generosity provided by the faculty opens doors. Their support helps secure textbooks and study guides, fund scholarships easing financial strains, and strengthen the resources allowing our students to serve the community. “Orientation events, the wonderful JD as Me series, the Red Mass, panels put on by student organizations are so enriching for our students but take time and money to put on. These events expand the opportunities for students and, more importantly, give them a chance to interact with their friendly neighborhood Student Services Librarian,” Odin remarks. The Employee Giving Campaign ripples throughout the university. In 2025, University Housekeeping and Registrar teams achieved 100% participation, and the University Advancement, Building Maintenance, Heating, Custodial, Grounds and Transportation, and University Operations Central teams reached 95% participation. Gifts, whether directed to scholarships, programs, or colleges, reflect the dedication of USD employees and their commitment to the community. The result is an environment that enables future USD Law advocates to shine in classrooms, clinics and courtrooms, while improving lives across San Diego and beyond.
