LUCAS CURTOLO ASSISTANT COACH 2NDSEASON

Lucas Curtolo is in his second season as San Diego'<; top assistant coach. Curtolo, a standout coll egiate goa lkeeper a t UC San Diego, amassed an impressive coaching resume after graduating with a B.S. in Communica tions from UCSD in 2000. He guided San Diego Surf 's Unde r 16 club program to a National

Championship in 2003. His outstanding coaching was recognized with State Coach of the Year awards from the NSCAA and the Cali fornia State Coaches Association. The Surf Club program tabbed him as the 2003 Coach of the Year, as his Under 16 and Under 13 squad s won Regional Championships. From 2000-2002 he served as the head coach of nea rby La Costa Canyon High School while also assisting at his alma mater UC San Diego. As an outstanding collegiate player, Curtolo led the Tritons to the NCAA Regional Finals as a senior and ranks second all-time on the school's career shutout list.

THERESA WAGNER ASSISTANT COACH 2ND SEASON Second-year Assistant Coach Theresa Wagner brings a wealth of soccer experience to San Diego's coaching staff. This past offseason, Wagner guided the Surf's U-13 to State and Regional Championships. After a storied collegiate playing career at the University of

Washington, Wagner played for the Seattle Sounders and the San Jose Cyber Rays of the WUSA, claiming a WUSA National Championship with San Jose in 2001. Wagner earned All-Pacific Coast Conference honors in each of her four years at Washington. She was also a three-time All Academic Pac-10 selecti on while earning her B.A. in Business with a 3.5 GPA. As a senior at Washington, Wagner garnered NSCAA Scholar Athlete All-American accolades; and was named to the second team All-West Region team; and Soccer Buzz tabbed her as an honorable mention All-American. Most recently Wagner served as a volunteer assistant for the 2001 Pac-10 Champion Stanford Cardinal.

Wagner guided the Su,f's U- 13 to State and Regional Championships in 2003.
