KERRI NAKAMOTO Assistant Coach

Kerri Nakamoto enters her second season as an assistant bas– ketball coach for the Toreros. Kerri joined the staff in the summer of 2003 after she graduated from USD with a degree in sociology.

She is currently pursuing her Master's of Arts in Counsel– ing at USD. Kerri is the travel

coordinator, film exchange coordinator, and wing po– sition coach. She will assist with recruiting, scouting, academic advising and summer camps. While at USD, Kerri left her mark in the Torero re– cord books. She is the sixth all-time leading scorer, first in both single season and career three-point bas– kets made , and second in career assists. The Toreros voted Kerri MVP two seasons and twice she received the Coaches Award. In addition, she was a two-time Honorable Mention WCC selection. Kerri's experience also includes coaching club basket– ball teams for the San Jose Jammers. She also coached

a 13U club basketball team and was an assistant coach for a high school club team in the San Di– ego Sol organization. Kerri, a native of San Jose, CA, graduated from Archbishop Mitty High School in 1999. As the senior captain of the basket– ball team, she led her school to a perfect 31-0 season including a Division I state championship. Kerri is the daughter of Brian and Christine Nakamoto.
