2001: Batted .333 while appearing in 7 games for USO. She also appeared in 7 contests as a pitcher, finishing with a record of 1-0 in I 1.1 innings ofwork. 2000: Batted .333 while appearing in 18 games for USD. She recorded five hits, two runs and two RBI. Wells led the Toreros versus Point Loma Nazarene, batting 2-for-3 with I RBI. She also recorded a 1-2 win-loss record from the mound. Wells struck out IO batters in 22 innings. She was selected to the All-WJSL academic team in her sophomore campaign. 1999: Joined USO as a fre shman and immediately the coaches began to see athleticism, pitching abi lity, good hitting mechanics and unlimited potential. Liz played in 6 games and batted .250. Liz also saw some time on the mound for the Toreros, appearing in two games. Prep: Attended Jesuit HS where she lettered in softball for four years. She was a three-time Honorable Mention All-Metro League selection and team captain in her sen ior year. In her juni or season Liz helped lead
her team to their first ever playoff appearance and placed 5th in State. Wells also played travel softball in the 16 & 18 under Go ld National Tournaments. She also lettered in vo lleyball (3 years), basketball and track (shot put). In volleyball , Liz was a First Team All-Metro selection and received Best Offensive Player Award in her senior year. Personal: Born September I, 1980 in Portland, Oregon. Her parents are Mike and Gloria Wells of Sherwood, Oregon. Liz chose USD because of its beautiful campus, emphasis on academics and because San Diego is a great city to live in. Liz is a History major and Chemi stry minor at USO.

Noteworthy: Selected team captain for this season . Named team's Best Defensive Player three straight seasons. 2001: Appeared in 54 games with 53 starts. Knocked 19 hits with 5 runs scored and 5 RBI. Tallied two multi-hit games: 2- 3 vs. CS San Bernardino, and 2-2 against UC Riverside. 2000: Appeared in 57 games and batted .228 in her sophomore campaign. Recorded 34 hits, 15 runs , 14 wa lks, five RBI , two doubles, one triple and nine multi -hit games. Geis displayed her speed on the basepaths, steal ing I0-of-12 bases. She was named USD's Best Defensive Player, posting a .933 fielding percentage while playing shortstop and second base for the Toreros. Geis had stell ar outings versus Azusa Pacific (3-
for-3 , 3 runs, I RBI) and CS Dominguez Hills (3-for-4, 2 RBI). 1999: Named Best Defensive Player in her freshman season. Geis had a respectable fielding percentage of .921 while playing middle infield for USD. She batted .282 in her freshman season with 42 hits and 20 runs batted in. Prep : Attended Mount Miguel HS where she lettered in both softball and basketball. She was an All-League performer in both sports every season.
