Since the late 1980s, many USO players have moved on to the pro ranks following their ca– reers on the hilltop. The San Diego Sockers, 10- time indoor world champions, had five former Toreros on their roster this past Continental In– door Soccer League (CISL) season. Four WCC teams have reached the NCAA Final Four (Portland 1988; Santa Clara 1989, 1991; USO 1992) with Santa Clara becoming co-national champs in 1989. San Francisco owns four national titles. Torero Stadium Soccer night at Alcala Park draws with the best collegiate programs in the country in terms of attendance. Last season alone, USO drew over 14,000 fans for nine home dates, averaging 1,613 spectators per game. On six occasions, USO has drawn over 3,000 fans to Torero Stadium.
