Booker T. Harris begins his second year as the pro– gram's Director of Basketball Operations. Har- ris came to USD from Ca l State San Bernardino where he had been an assistant coach for the Coyotes since the 2003-04 season. Working un– der head coach Jeff Oliver, the Coyotes finished 26-6 overall in 2006-07, won the NCAA West Regional Championship and advanced to the NCAA Division II semifinals. During his four-year tenure the basketball program was a combined 86-28. In addition to his coaching duties,Harris also served as Director of the Coyotes' youth basket– ball summer camps.
Prior to joining the Ca l State San Bernardino staff, Harris was the strength and conditioning coach at Long Beach State for one season (2002-03) . He started his coaching career at Sonoma State University in 2001 -02, and later would earn his master's degree in 2003 from Sonona State. A 1999 graduate of the University of San Francisco where he earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Harris played three seasons (1996-99) for the Dons basketball program under head coach Philip Mathews. He was a member of the 1997-98 WCC Tournament champions that played NCAA fi – nalist Utah in the first round of the NCAA's. He was also a two-time selection to the West Coast Confer– ence All-Academic Team (1998 & 1999).
From San Francisco, he prepped at Bridgemont High School where he averaged 22 points per game as a senior and was coached by his father (also Booker T. Harris).
