A Message From President Hughes The men's basketball program is integral to the University's athletic endeavors, just as the athletic program is integral to our view of education - which is that education should develop the whole person. This program moved from NCAA Division II to Division I in 1979, and each year has seen increasing strength and competitive cap– abilities in the USO team. The University is proud of the team's accomplishments, and pleased to support the program in every way possible, including scholarship aid to our athletes, recognition of the values of the program, and promotion of intercollegiate athletics. I believe our USO team will be receiving some national attention this year, and / look forward to watching the season's events unfold.
