Times San Diego) . . . Grossmont Player of the Year and 3rd leading scorer in the county . .. also All-Tourney Team Kiwanis Basketball Tournament . PERSONAL : Born in La Mesa, California on September 21, 1963 .. . enjoys traveling around the world ... lives with parents Lee and Carolyn Reuss in El Cajon, California . . . an Undeclared major. HIGH SCHOOL : Rusty was instrumental in leading Monte Vista High School to a 21-6 record his senior year . .. he was named to the First Team AII-CIF and All– League in his junior and senior seasons and second team his sophomore year, also voted to the All– City Defensive Team three years. USO : Rusty was one of the best defensive guards in the WCAC and did a great job covering such nationally celebrated guards as David Vann (St. Mary's) , Quintin Daily (USF), Jose Slaughter (Port– land) , and Boot Bond (Pepperdine) .. . besides playing excellent defense, Whitmarsh also did an outstanding job on offense averaging 11 .0 ppg , while hitting 57% from the floor and 82% from the line. PERSONAL: Born February 17, 1960 in San Diego .. . Rusty lives with J im and Sharon Hill ... his hobbies include hunting , fishing , and surfing ... his major is Business Administration .
