UNDERGRADUATE ALUMNI James Miller is an alumnus of the 1996 U.S. Olympic Team as team leader of the U .S. men's handball team. James lives in Oklahoma City, where he is a financial planner for MetLife.... Mary (Williams) Schaller and her husband, Marty, welcomed their first grand– child, Konrad Martin, on March 22. Konrad is the son of Phil and Elizabeth Schaller. Mary's first book, Fool's Paradise, has sold more than a half million copies and recently appeared in Brazil. She sold her fourth historical novel to Harlequin and writes: "I still can't believe this is happening!"

UNDERGRADUATE ALUMNI Elizabeth Framco Bradley writes: "After 10 years as managing partner of a San Diego law firm, which at its peak employed 21 associate attorneys with a total staff of up to 70, I am basking in the luxury of sole practice with the help of my daughter, Elizabeth Leigh Bradley '88." Elizabeth's other daughter, Eva Marie Lemberg, welcomed the family's first grand– child, Hannah Isabel, in November 1997.

UNDERGRADUATE ALUMNI Mary Lou (Spalding) Cashin celebrated the wedding of her son, Brent Cashin, to Victoria Wiest on Aug. 2. The late Monsignor I. Brent Eagen, who was Brent's godfather and vice president of mission and ministry at USD, presided over the ceremony in Redondo Beach, Calif. (Monsignor Eagen passed away on Oct. 14. See story on page 7.) Mary Lou traveled to Washington, D.C., to attend Liz Kilfay's '63 daughter's wedding on Aug. 31.

UNDERGRADUATE ALUMNI Rosalie Lorenzen MacRory reports that she and her husband, Norman, just moved back to Texas. ... Elinor Oualy and her husband, Bob, took a trip with a group to the Holy Land. Their bishop was the trip leader. "Truly a spiritual experience," she writes. Elinor and Bob have six grandchildren now. They live in Osprey, Fla., most of the year and spend the summer in Linville, N .C.
