Chris E llo is entering his first season as the play-by-play announcer for USD football. ow in his 13th year doing sports talk in San Diego, Chris has been with XX Sports Radio the past four years. Between 1994 and 2002 Chris hosted a show on XTRA Sports 690 called, 'The World of Sports according to Chris Ello'. During his time with XTRA he began to do play-by-play where he covered the San Diego Sockers (1994-95), the San Diego Wildcards (1996), the San Diego Gulls (1996 thru 2006) where he twice was named the WCHL announcer of the year, and the San Diego Spirit (2001). The versatile announcer has also called play-by-play for Padres spring training games; Cl F high school football championship games for Channel 4 the past eight years; San Diego State football and Ted Tollner enters his second year with the Torero broadcasting team, where he will handle color analyst duties. o stranger to San Diego, Tollner was Offensive Coordinator for the San Diego Chargers between 1989-91 and head coach for San Diego State between 1994-2001. All told he has over 30 years coaching experience on the college and FL levels. He most recently was tl1e Offensive Coordinator for the Detroit Lions in 2005, and prior to that spent three seasons with the San Francisco 49ers where he was Quarterbacks Coach and eventuallyOffensive Coordinator. His vast coaching resume also includes head coach at USC from 1982-86, and FL stops with the Los Angeles Rams and Buffalo Bills. Tollner and his wife, Barbara, have two daughters, Linda and Tammy, and one son,

men's basketball; USD men's basketball and baseball; and arena football for both the San Diego Riptide (2002-05) and Shockwave (2007). Chris and his wife Lori reside in Rancho San Diego.

Media Policies Seating for media will be available in the press area on the north side of Torero Stadium at the top of the stands. Credentials should be requested at least one day in advance; they will be left at the will call table at the Jenny Craig Pavilion ticket office. There are no player interviews on game days until the completion of the contest. Photographers must have a field pass to shoot photography from the field on game days. After the game, head coach Ron Caragher and selected players will be available after a ten-minute cooling down period. Approximately 15 minutes after the game, a final box with stats and play-by-play will be available.
