JOE ROSIELLO - Defensive Line, 2nd Year/ Special Teams Coordinator

He brings a wea lth ofcoaching experi enc e with hi s most recent stop before US O be ing at the Coast Gua rd Academy w here he was defens ive line coach for two seasons. He a lso ga ined coaching experi ence at Ho ly Cross in 1997 , ass isting the linebac kers; he coached the offens ive line at Fordham in I996; and he was a student ass istant for the offens ive lin e a t Boston Uni versity in 1995. A 1996 g raduate of Bos ton Uni vers ity where he ea rned hi s B.S. degree in Phys ica l Educati on (Human Movement), Joe played two seasons at BU in 199 1-92 as a defensive lineman. From Brookl yn, New York, he attended Stuyvesant Hi gh Schoo l where he earned two vars ity letters in footba ll and g raduated in 1991 .

SADIK.I JOHNSON - Running Backs & TE, 1st Year Sadiki begins hi s first season with the To re ros w here he will coach the running backs and ti ght ends. He j o ins the Toreros from Phoeni x Coll ege where he a lso coached the running backs and ti ght ends. During the 1999 season, Sadiki was the Co-Offensive Coo rdinator at Shadow Mounta in Hi gh Schoo l in Phoeni x, Ari zona. Prio r to that he coached rece ive rs and linebackers at Desert Vi sta Hi gh Schoo l in Ari zona. A 1999 g raduate of Ari zona State Uni vers ity, Sadiki earn ed hi s Bac he lor of Arts Degree in Hi sto ry . He pl ayed running back fo r Norfolk State Uni versity during the 1997 season and for the Uni versity of Ari zona from 1995-1 997. Sadiki and hi s wife, Miche ll e, res ide in the Linda Vi sta area.

THAD PORLAS - Inverts Coach/1st Year Thad beg ins hi s first season with the Toreros where he will coach the inverts on defense. Porl as comes to USO from Mesa Co ll ege where he coached the past fo ur seasons with rece ivers and ki ck returners. Prior to that, he spent six yea rs ( 1992-97) at Point Loma Hi gh Schoo l coaching rece ivers and defensive bac ks -- during that stretch Point Loma advanced to the CIF pl ayoffs each season. No stranger to USO, Thad pl ayed foo tball fo r the Toreros fo r two seasons ( 1982-83) as a wide rece iver. He graduated with hi s B. A. in Business Admini strati on, and later earn ed two M.S. degrees in Educati on/Mathemati cs and Spec ial Educati on. The past eleven yea rs he has taught for the San Di ego City Schoo ls with Special Educati on. A nati ve San Diego, Thad graduated from Madi son Hi gh Schoo l in 1978. Thad and hi s wife Sue have three children: Dane ( 15), Kalani ( 12) and Cheynna (9).

MONTY PECK - Quarterbacks Coach/1st Year Monty beg ins hi s first yea r w ith the To reros w here he w ill coach the quarterbac ks. Monty j o ins the To reros from Ari zona State Uni vers ity where he was a graduate ass istant working w ith the offensive line. Pri o r to hi s stint at Ari zona State, Monty coached the quarterbac ks and defensive bac ks at A lhambra Hi gh Schoo l in Phoeni x, Ari zona. From I997- 1999, Monty he ld a s imil a r pos iti on at Shadow Mounta in Hi gh Schoo l in Ari zona. In additi on to hi s foo tba ll coaching duti es, he was a lso a track coach responsibl e fo r the jumpe rs. From I995 -1 997, Monty coached a vari ety of pos iti ons at No rth Canyon Hi gh Schoo l in Ari zona, inc luding w ide rece ivers, defensive ends, linebac kers and running bac ks. Hi s trac k duti es there invo lved coaching the hurdl ers. Monty's co ll eg ia te pl ay ing career began in 1986 at Ga rden C ity Community Co ll ege where he was a qua rte rback. He a lso pl ayed qua rte rback in 1987 at Hi ghl and Community Co ll ege. From there, Monty went on to Ari zona State whe re he was a qua rte rbac k for one season in 1998 before fini shing hi s caree r as a free safety .
