Sperrazzo Named to Nurse Board The Chairm· of the University of an Diego department of psychology has been elected o the board of directors of the Visitmg Nurse Association of San Diego County. He is Dr. Gerald Sperrazzo, also president of the San Diego County Psychological Association. Sperrazzo, 39, was appointed to the California State Psychological Association board of directors at its recent convention in Monterrey. Part of a task force to reorganize the association. Sperrazzo will be chairman of the association's state convention to be held in Hotel Del Coronado in 1971. A member of the Mayor's Social Science Advisory Committee, Sperrazzo received his SA from the University of Idaho his MA from St. Louis Univ~rsity and his PhD from the University of Ottawa. Before commg to USD as director of the Steber Educational Development Center, Sperrazzo was an assistant professor of psychology at Ge_orgetown University, Educational and Psychological Services ~ureau. Author of several articles m professional journals, Sperrazzo was named last )'.ear as diplomate m clinical psychology by the American Board of Examiners of \

Sacred Heart Alumnae Plan Lenten Lectures University of San Diego Alumnae of the Sacred Heart have planned a series of four Lenten lectures on contemporary as- pects of religion. The lectures will be given February 19 and 26 and :March 5 and 12 in the USD faculty dining room, De Sales Hall. The lec-

tures will begin at 8 p.m ., fol - lowed by a question and ans- wer period. Dr. John Swanke, chairman of the Adult Education Program of the diocese and USO professor of philosophy, will lead off the series, speaking on "The Change in Morality." The second lecture on February 26 is on "The Changes in the Liturgy" by Father Michael Alcaraz, executive secretary of the Diocesan Liturgical Commission and USD professor of religious studies. "The Changes in Teaching" will ·be the topic of the March 5

lecture given by Dr. Raymond 0. Ryland , USO professor of religious studies. Dr. Ryland is the former director of the Center for Christian Renewal, Oklahoma City. The final lecture, March 12, is titled "What These Changes Mean in the Life of the Catholic." The lecture will be given by Father Laurence P . Dolan, USD instructor in religious studies.
