was made at an informal farewell reception for the Archbishop in the Chancery Building al Alcala Park_ Archbishop Furey received a mod nistic missal stand symbolic of the four Evangelists .

ARCHBISHOP'S RESPONSE - Most Rev. Francis J. Furey showed his appreciation for the farewell reception in his honor by goin1 from table to table at the chancery patio to greet each person and present gifts. He 1ave to l!ach a wooden plaque with the bronze Star ol Bethlehem inscribed with the word, "Peace." The plaques were made by the Terra Sancta Guild in the Holy Land. The reception was attended by all

staffs of the chancery office. Clergy at table are, left to ri1ht, Father Robert J. Pinta, CYO director; Father John Dickie, school superintendent, and Father Louis Salca, associate director, Society for the Propagation of the Faith. Archbishop Furey invited everyone to visit him in San Antonio and to remember him in their prayers.

SECRET WEAPON - Most Rev. Francis J. Furey 1cknowled1es tributes paid him at an out-door farewell re- ception last Sunday at Alcala Park sponsored by trustees of the University of San Oiego. He told the crowd who came to say 1oodbye that he was takina: a "secret weapon" with him when he 1oes to Texas to become Archbishop ol San Antonio. The "weapon," he said, is "prayers .•. and I hope you will remember me In yMn. They will a:o with me and sustain me in the years ahead."
