Figure 2 Views vs. Likes Scatterplot
This scatterplot illustrates the relationship between the number of likes and views per video. The scatterplot in Figure 2 displays a dense cluster in the bottom-left corner, with most videos accumulating fewer than 1 million views and 100,000 likes. However, several outliers show that some videos have reached exceptionally high viewership and engagement. Overall, the scatterplot confirms a clear positive trend: as the number of likes increases, so does the number of views. This supports our earlier findings and validates the importance of likes as a key engagement signal.
To evaluate whether video timing has any noticeable effect on performance, we analyzed the average number of views by publication day. This helped determine if some days of the week were better for audience reach than others. This bar chart displays the mean number of views based on the day a video was published. As shown in Figure 3, videos published on Mondays received the highest average views, followed closely by Sundays. In contrast, Fridays and Thursdays consistently had the lowest average view counts. This pattern may suggest higher user activity at the beginning and end of the week. For creators looking to optimize their upload schedule, this insight could inform more strategic timing.
