~nu liegn Qtollege for llnmen

• E Church in San Diego recognizes the need of a Catholic College · for Women. The Religious of the Sacred Heart, offered the privilege of meeting this need, will open their doors to college students at Alcala Park. The buildings will follow the lines of Spanish Renaissance Architecture. A full college curriculum will be offered, and provision made for a large student body, including resident and day students. A faculty composed of eminent educators with University degrees of Ph.D. or A.M. will staff the San Diego College for Women. The Society of the Sacred Heart was founded in France by Saint Madeleine Sophie Barat in 1800. A Saint's work, aims and ideals have been inspiration to convents and colleges of the Order in every continent. In 1818 Blessed Philippine Duchesne and her companions came to America. If they sowed in tears and hardships, the Society reaps today in joy through- out the Western World. In San Diego the College will be a unit in the vast educational project of Alcala Park. Gifts specified for San Diego College for Women will be so allocated.
