Public announcement of The Southern Cross as the official or- gan of the Diocese of San Diego was made by His Excellency, Bishop Charles Francis Buddy, to 70 priests of his diocese at the close of the first annual retreat of the clergy, held last week at Del Mar. Calif. The Southern Cross will now serve Imperial, Riv- erside, San Bernardino and San Diego counties.
