the most beautiful, exciting cities in the country. There are countless ways to spend free time here. The beach is just an 8-minute drive from campus. Students can go camping in the desert, hiking in the mountains, or shopping at one of the great malls. Even without leaving campus, students can enjoy the beauty and benefits of San Diego. The warm weather allows for impromptu games of extreme Frisbee, tanning by the Sport Center pool, or twilight strolls along the rim of Tecolote Canyon. There is a carefree feeling here at USD. The students here work hard but also know how to enjoy themselves and the opportunities around them.
