Alcala Yearbook 2001

After finishing second in the WCC and advancing two players to the NCAA Tournament last year, the nationally respected Lady Toreros were eager to claim the WCC title this season. Under the leadership of Head Coach Sherri Stephens and seniors Krista Man– ning and Stacie Lee the Toreros were headed for the top. Two freshmen Catherine Heppell and Belinda Kelly joined this season's returning seven. Together theywere prepared to place themselves in strong con– tingency, not only for theWCC title, but for a trip to the NCAA tourna– ment as well.
