AIKANE O' HAWAII Aikane O' Hawaii (Friends ofHawaii) is one of the newer clubs at the University of San Diego. Its purpose is to share the culture of the Hawaiian Islands and the Aloha spirit with those not familiar with the Aina (land). They also aid new and transfer students from Hawaii meet people from their home state in order to ease the transition to USD and campus life. Students who are not from Hawaii are encouraged to join so they can experience Hawaiian customs and cul– ture. Aikane O' Hawaii's biggest event is the annual Lu'au, held towards the end of every school year.
ITALIAN CLUB
Ciao Amici!! Il Circolo Italiano here on campus welcomes all students to join us. The interest in our club lies in the participation ofltalian culture. Whether it be in eating Italian cuisine, watching Italian movies, socializingwith Italians, or practicing the language with others, we strive to bring a little bit of Italy to USD! Morever, the club interacts with other Italian clubs and the Italian com– munity in San Diego.
