Aikane O'Hawaii Aikane O'Hawaii (Friends of Hawaii) is a young club founded four years ago whose p u rpose is to share the culture of the Hawaiian Islands and the Aloha spirit with those not familiar with the Aina (land). Since their purpose is to share the Hawaiian culture with others, many of their members are not from the islands. However, this does not prevent them from becoming an Ohana (family) as they put on their big event, the Lu'au, at the end of the school year. Asian Students Association As a fairly new club, the Asian Students Association is continuously growing with new members and especially new ideas. This organization welcomes any person who is interested in becoming involved with the club and in learning more about Asian cultures. The goals of this organiza– tion are to come together to share in experi– ences which promote cultural awareness as well as social and commu nity involve– ment. Some activities include enthic food sales, dances, and visiting children's hospi– tals.
