Sigma Chi Theta Lambda Chapter

SIGMA CHI is one of the nation's elite fraternities boasting more than 200,000 brothers nationwide. Since its founding over 135 years ago, the fraternity has striven to cultivate and maintain the high ideals of friendship, justice, and learning. Sigma Chi guides the brothers in leader– ship responsibility, good citizenship, aca– demic excellence, integrity and provides a helping hand in brotherhood for the achievement of purposeful living. The Theta Lambda Chapter was founded at USD in May of 1984. Since then the fraternity has become a positive force and influence in the university community.

The Theta Lambda Chapter is involved in many activities on campus such as ex– changes with the various sororities and the famous Derby Days. Academic and community service activities are also a high priority. Community service activi– ties range from food and clothing drives for the homeless to a beach cleanup and a recycling program that benefits the envi– ronment. The Chapter also boasts one of the highest G.P.A. 's.of any campus orga– nization. The success of theThetaLambda Chapter is attributed to the strong and everlas ting brotherhood which is synony– mous with SIGMA CHI!
