0 n October 15, 1898, Zeta Tau Alpha was founded at Longwood College in Farmville, Virginia to "Seek the Nobelist" through scholarship, sisterhood and community service. The Theta Epsi– lon Chapter at USD was established in November of 1979 to continue this proud tradition by promoting sisterhood and en– riching friendships. To achieve these goals, the Zeta's orga– nized special events for its members as well as dances and e:s:changes with other organizations. Some of these included Founder's Day, Miniature Golf, the Chap– ter Retreat, Thanksgiving Alumni Potluck and of course, ZETA DAY! These sister– hood events have unified the sorority more than ever before. Other social activi– ties such as the Valentine's Day Formal

and the Spring Formal rounded of an e1 citing year. In addition to their social and sisterhood functions, Zeta Tau Alpha has striven to give something to the community. Tbil fall they sold college survival kits to raile money for the Association For Retarded Citizens and the Anne Swanke Memorial The Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority had a great year! The high energy levels built by their numerous activities has won the sorority achievement and recognition. Thia year they won the National 'CrA Scholanhip Award, Financial Improvement Award. Zeta Day Attendance Award and they were recognized as the MOST IM· PROVED CHAPTER!! They have proVID their motto, "ZETA is FOREVER!"
