S igma Chi is one of the nation's elite fraternities boasting more than 200,00 brothers nationwide. Since its founding over 135 years ago, the frater– nity has striven to cultivate and maintain the high ideals of friendship, justice and learning. Sigma Chi guides the brothers in leadership responsibility, good citizen– ship, academic excellence, integrity and provides a helping hand in brotherhood for the achievement of purposeful living. The Theta Lamba Chapter was founded at USO in May 1884. Since then the fratemi– ty has become a positive force and influ– ence in the university community. The

Lamba Chapter is involved in many ac tivities on campus such as exchanges with the various sororities and the legendary Derby Days. Academic and community service activities are also a high priority Each brother completes 25 hours of com munity service each semester and the chapter has maintained the highest G.P.A on campus among the other Greek organ•· zations. The success of the Theta Lamba Chapter is attributed to the strong and everlasting brotherhood which is synonymous with SIGMA CHI!
