Le Club Francais

T he French club is a great opportunity for any student who wants to broaden their knowledge of France, it's culture, and it's language. The club always celebrates in the French tradition. They celebrated Noel and Mardi Gras with catered parties. Second se– mester the club hosted a party for their new initiates into the French Honor Society. A more casual activity of the club is watching French films together. The club brings French culture and language to USD campus. The club also gives a place for foreign students to share their knowledge and feel comfortable with peo– ple interested in their origin.

German Club

T he German Club is made up of student who have an interest in German and wish to experience the German culture. he members of the club enjoy learning about different aspects of Germany. In the fall semes– ter the club started off the year by seeing a film entitled, "A Portrait of Germany." Soon after– wards two students from West Germany shared their experiences of daily life at home with German club. The members of the club were able to see contrasts between their lives and one of a German citizen's. The club's trip to the Old World German Village in Hunting– ton Beach proved to be a success for all who attended. The German club also participated with other foreign language clubs in the Inter– national Christmas party.
