The International Students Organization is aunique group on campus. Ithas been established and organized by interna tional studentsprimarily asa place for the many nationalities on campus to meet and exchange their cultures. Themain ex change is between the American and the International students. Views of othercul tures maybe based on whatis seen in the media, but at the ISO activities we have the opportunity to gain an indepth appre ciation of the people, their cultures and the reasons for the differences in cultural values. The ISO organizes anumber of activities such as: the annual ISO Buffet, picnics, excursions, and presentations. All these fun and educational activities serve as a bridge for creating friendship among all USDstudents. ISO The FrenchClub offers studentsa way to experience another culture. While speak ing the language is not obligatory for membership, the club provides an oppor tunity to practice French. Members meet every week to plan and discuss events. The Club sponsors a variety of activities throughout the year such as: theAnnual Cheese Party, an InternationalChristmas Party(this year several other langauge clubs also participated including the G r manClub, ChineseClub, ItalianClub, and the International Students Organization), and other traditionally french cultural events. Advisor Madame Rigsby gives the club a genuine Frenchflavor.
