ONGOING SESSIONS Still Standing – Better Practices in Teaching You Can Immediately Implement into Your Classroom October 8, 2025 12:30-2 p.m. Copley Library, Room 211 Presenter: Regina Dixon-Reeves, Director of Center for Educational Excellence Session Overview: This interactive session will review some of the better practices in teaching and allow you and your colleagues to share you successes and challenges experienced while teaching at USD. The session will offer time for personal and communal reflection, crowdsourcing of resources and opportunities to develop teaching communities of practice. At the end of the session, you will have a toolkit of teaching strategies that can be immediately implemented within your classroom. Connecting with USD’s Mission, Vision and Values November 4, 2025 3-4:30 p.m. Ministry Center Presenter: Michael Lovette-Colyer, Vice President for Mission Integration Session Overview: This interactive session will broaden and deepen your understanding of how USD’s mission, vision and values are lived out – providing a menu of very practical ways to connect to sustainability, community-based learning, changemaking and spirituality initiatives. Professional development opportunities for faculty will be highlighted and there will be time to network with colleagues during a cocktail reception.
