T he University of San Di ego is a private Ca tholi c institution of hi gher education located on J80 acres overl ooking San Di ego's Mission Bay. USO is known for its commitment to teaching, the liberal arrs , the .formation of values and communi ty involvement. The univer- sity takes pride in the personalized approach and holistic view of students it brings co the educati onal process. Chartered in 1949, USO enro lls more than 6,600 students who may choose from more than 50 undergraduate and graduate degree programs. The university's academi c units include che College of Arcs and Sciences, and the Schools of Business Administrati on, Education, Law and Nursing.
